Our meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings at King's Baptist each week, with one field trip or campout planned per month. The subsequent Tuesday following a weekend excursion will be a "Flex" week and will skip that following Tuesday meeting.
This program is suited for Kindergarten and up. As soon as a boy is enrolled in Kindergarten, he'll be eligible to join (or 5 by October 31st).
We estimate projected costs for this first season will be roughly $160-180. $31 for boy national dues, $35 for dad dues, $ 50 for local troop dues, $50 for a uniform, and $17 for handbook. (For a little more you can buy a package that includes the handbook, plus a few more tracking materials). If anyone has difficulty with costs this should not prohibit them from joining. Speak with me privately and we'll get it figured out.
We need men to step into patrol leader and co-leader positions at the K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12 levels. Please note women are more than welcome to help in the patrol leadership positions at the K-5 levels. For anyone willing to take this on you will always have support and ongoing leader training. Reply to this email if you're willing to help out in these roles.
If you are not open to being a patrol leader you can still be a very useful helper within the patrol called "Trail Guides", which are essentially registered adults who stick around to help as needed, and we need lots of them. Trail Guides are also encouraged to attend any leader training offered.

You can purchase your uniform shirt and handbook as soon as your family feels committed. They can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. All k-5 (Woodlands) use the same handbook, and all 6-12 (Navigators/Adventurers) use the same handbook.
