The Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida is one of my favorite nearby places to take my kids. This is the second year we have had an annual membership, and we get a lot of use out of it. The Brevard Zoo has it all - a splash pad, playground, amazing animals, a small train ride, animal encounters, and more!
One of the perks of Brevard Zoo membership is being a part of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums reciprocity program. Members receive a 50% discount on admission to zoos that are a part of the program.
One thing to keep in mind: always call ahead! There are some exceptions to the program (such as zoos that are close to each other), so make sure you always call the zoo or aquarium you plan to visit to find out their current policies regarding reciprocal admissions.
