Calling Young Actors: Riverside Theatre Auditions for Finding Nemo JR.

Audition submissions are due by September 1st!

August 11, 2023

Riverside Theatre for Kids calls for young performers ages 6 and up to audition for the musical adaptation of the beloved Pixar film, Finding Nemo. Audition requirements are found below.

The Treasure Coast premiere of this new musical of the movie classic will be performed in a fully produced production on the Stark Stage at Riverside Theatre. Finding Nemo JR. features new music by the award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, writers behind the music of Frozen, Frozen 2, Coco, and television’s “Wandavision.”

Finding Nemo JR. is an hour-long version of the hit 2003 film.

The film, Finding Nemo, tells the story of Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, who lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo. Nemo is inquisitive and longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. When Nemo is captured by scuba divers and is taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean to save this only child.

With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Finding Nemo JR. features fantastic production elements like sets, lighting and costumes created by professional artists that elevate Riverside education shows. This new musical will be a great treat for performers and audiences alike!
